Definitions
The words on this site.
Each word below means one thing, here and in the product. The same state keeps the same name on every screen.
States
- Found
- A dollar the checks have identified, with its evidence.
- Received
- A found dollar back in the company's account. Above a set amount, it is recorded by someone other than the person who confirmed it.
- Claimed
- A found dollar the company has asked for and not yet received.
- Awaiting decision
- A finding no named person has decided yet.
Decisions
The five decisions a named person can take on a finding. Each is recorded, by whom and when.
- Approve
- Accept the finding so it can be claimed.
- Query
- Ask for more before deciding.
- Hold
- Keep a finding, or a line in a payment file, from going further until a named person releases it.
- Release
- Let a held line go on. Never by the person who sent the file.
- Close
- End the finding. Above a set amount, a confirmed claim is closed by someone other than the person who confirmed it.
Records
- Finding
- One item the checks raised, with its rule, the records it came from, the file they arrived in and the dollar it concerns.
- Evidence
- The rule, records and file shown on a finding.
- Run
- One pass of the checks over a company's data. A run by EagleEye's people adds findings; it never lowers or removes one.
- Stream
- One line of checks over the money moving in or out. Suppliers, payment runs, payroll and agency labour, company cards, customers, and fraud across all of them.
- Payment run
- A payment file checked before it reaches the bank. Lines it holds are released by someone who did not send the file.
- Proof ledger
- The record every figure comes from: every dollar found, received and claimed, to the row, each finding in the currency it was found in.
- The dollar line
- The one line every view ends in: found, received, claimed, awaiting decision.
- Read-only
- Access used only to read. The connectors send only read requests, to known hosts. The platform never writes to a client system, and never tests access by writing without the client's written consent. Nothing EagleEye runs pays, posts or changes a record.
- Illustration
- A screen on this site showing an example enterprise. Not a client and not results.
